Not the best situation to be in but it's really nice to find someone who is willing to help their friends. Reassure her you'll be there for her, you'll be at the scans with her etc when the faher can't make it. However, don't start missing school to help her because you'll end up making a pigs ear of your education at the sake of someone else so as I say, when you can.

Tell her how much you love her and your so happy for her, and that you can't wait tell her that you will always be there for her nomatter what

Make sure that you give her plenty of support. She needs you now more than ever be there for her to have someone to talk to when she needs someone to listen to her good days and the bad. Always be the best friend think of yourself in that position and do what you would want her to do.
