Best way to dust?? Need advice!!?

Is it better to dust with a feather duster or with a damp towel? How do you prevent the dust from flying everywhere?

Open two windows, one on each side of a room. Put a fan in one of the windows facing out and turn it on. Then go around the room with a vacuum cleaner nozzle connected to the exhaust port so that it blows air instead of sucking it, and use that to do your dusting. Any dust will get sucked out of the room by the fan.
Damp towel. If you use a feather duster, it just stirs it up and then it settles again like yo didn't even dust! I unfortunately only dust when my stuff begins to look furry!
